ABOUT

GREAT DANES

our_services

Description

As tall as 32 inches at the shoulder, Danes tower over most other dogs—and when standing on their hind legs, they are taller than most people. These powerful giants are the picture of elegance and balance, with the smooth and easy stride of born noblemen. The coat comes in different colors and patterns, perhaps the best-known being the black-and-white patchwork pattern known as “Harlequin.”

Despite their sweet nature, Danes are alert home guardians. Just the sight of these gentle giants is usually enough to make intruders think twice. But those foolish enough to mistake the breed’s friendliness for softness will meet a powerful foe of true courage and spirit. Patient with kids, Danes are people pleasers who make friends easily.

History

No one is quite sure how or why Great Danes, a German breed, came to be associated with Denmark. (In Germany they’re known as the Deutsche Dog, or “German dog.”) We do know that once upon a time, German nobles used Danes to hunt ferocious wild boars. Later, Danes became famous as protectors of their home and loved ones, a job they are still happy to perform.

~ "Kammerhunde" is German translated to "Chamber Dog". Great Danes were kept in the chambers of Princes and Princesses to guard them as they slept. If you hear that name, you know they are reffereing to a Regal Dane! Hence the name for our kennel.

ABOUT US

Tulip pup.jpg

We are family first, that includes our pups! We have over 15 years of wonderful Great Dane experience. My Name is Randi Garrett,  I have been a Professional Dog Trainer for many years, before that I was a Veterinary Technician. My husband is a Veterinarian and we have an 9 year old daughter. All of our puppies are raised in home with our family.

Puppies get daily age appropriate socialization and introduction to their environment, from sounds, to walking on different textures and structures. They will also have a head start on House Training. We believe that a well rounded puppy becomes a well rounded confident dog. Puppies are ready to go to their forever homes at 8 weeks of age, they will have their age appropriate deworming, vaccines, microchip and Dewclaws removed. All vaccines and microchips are administered by the Veterinarian, NOT from a feed store. You will receive a vaccination record for your puppy. All puppies will come with Limited AKC Registration, or Full AKC Registration (to approved homes only) a 2 year health guarantee, a strict return contract and life time Breeder Support.

Ear Cropping is available in this case, puppy must be paid for in full, as well as the $600 for the crop, before surgery can be done. We use Dr. Debbie Shaffer in Dallas. She is the # 1 Show Crop Veterinarian in the state of Texas. (Pictures are available upon request.)

We carefully plan each litter, our puppies are from quality Champion lines with temperament and confirmation in mind. You will find our puppy prices to be competitive, to pet and show homes, who can prove their pedigrees to match. If you are not seeking quality and find someone who's dog "looks nice, so they wanted to have puppies", their prices will be lower. Please remember you will always get what you pay for, whether that's from Quality Lines like ours or a Back Yard Breeder.
